2019 Event grant application
Event grants are available to any municipalities or organization that will be hosting an event during the Get to the River Festival. Applications will be evaluated by the Get to the River Oversight Committee and funding will be awarded by July 29, 2019. Grants are awarded to municipalities or organizations with a demonstrated need for funding and are planning events that reflect the Festival mission to celebrate, protect and restore the Jordan River.
Awards amounts are between $150 to $500.
All requests for funding must be accompanied by a written proposal that includes the following:
Event Overview - Title, Location, Date(s), Time(s), Purpose, Objectives, Audience
Project Budget - Amount requested from Get to the River, sponsor contributions (if applicable), total project cost
A narrative that describes how the event will meet the mission of the Get to the River Festival.
Letter of support for the event from management/leadership within your organization or municipality (Mayor, City Council Member, Department Head, Project Manager, President/CEO, etc.
Proposals should be submitted to Hilary Robertson at email@example.com no later than July 29, 2019 at 5 P.M. MST to receive funding for the 2019 Festival year.
Submissions should not exceed two pages. The Letter of Support is not counted in the page limit.
Applicants are encouraged to attend at least one Festival planning meeting.
A post event report is required for all events receiving funding. This report should include a description of the event and outcome, attendee numbers and images. Reports will be due at the debrief meeting in October 2019.
