Friday Paddles: Arrow Park to Winchester Park

  • Arrowhead Trailhead Park 1300 W Jordan Basin Lane Bluffdale, UT 84065 (map)

Join the Jordan River Commission every Friday in September for your chance to paddle all of the navigable portions of the Jordan River. We'll paddle a different stretch of the river each week, from Utah Lake to the Great Salt Lake. Each Friday paddle will begin around noon, and will last 4 to 6 hours.

This second stage is the south Salt Lake valley portion of the Jordan River.

You can join us for just one stage, or try them all. If you join us for all four stages each Friday, you will have paddled almost 90% of the river following the last stage.

This experience is not intended for beginners. There are several other Festival paddling activities if you're paddling for the first time. Some portions of the river will include moderate hazards, and mandatory portages across challenging terrain is required for some.

You must register and accept personal liability to participate in this activity. Space is limited to 15 boats, on a first come, first served basis. Please see the link below for more information and to register.

If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to see firsthand what an amazing recreational and natural asset runs through the center of the Utah and Salt Lake valleys, here it is!
